Play Our World Book Day Inspired Games!
Today is World Book Day, a day beloved of parents and teachers alike (as long as you are creative enough to make an outfit!) and a day that kids get to revel in the world of books and the characters that books contain. In order to get into the spirit of things, we created three games to celebrate books in an engaging and fun way! Of course, books should be fun and engaging but we appreciate that sometimes kids need a little encouragement, and the ones who already love books can enjoy fun games!
The Wordsearch
We created this fab wordsearch that contains titles of Happydesigner books, all of which can be found here. If you want to fill it in online, here’s the link – honestly, wordsearches online are great, what a fab idea! But if you’d rather print it off then go right ahead and then colour it in with your favourite crayon.
Anagrams!
We came up with some anagrams that you can unscramble. They are based on famous children’s books – but can you guess which ones they are?*
1. batches trowel
2. inky wallow
3. ah forgetful
4. perry throat
5. downhills wine wit
Good luck!
*Answers are listed at the bottom of this blog to save all-night head scratching!
Crossword
We created a crossword based on characters from famous children’s stories. It isn’t very, very hard, but it should tax your brain a little. Have a go and see who you find!
Whatever you do this World Book Day, make sure you have a fun day and use it to connect with some of your favourite characters. Perhaps today is a good day to introduce the children in your life to some fab new books!
