Ruby is a girl who has big dreams of adventure. She wants to be a firefighter, helping save lives, riding in a big red fire engine and of course, being the hero of the day – but there are obstacles in her way. 

Together with her new found friends, Ruby goes on an exciting journey which teaches her to believe in herself and challenges gender stereotypes. With a sprinkling of humour that will keep adults and children alike amused, and themes of friendship, kindness and teamwork, this is a story that delivers all the right messages.
